Inspired by a major part of a Redfish’s diet, the juvenile Blue Crab, this fly has plenty of fish seducing movement and imitates a variety of crustacean critters. At rest, the hackle at the rear flares out like a defensive crab, but when retrieved in short successive strips it has the action similar to a fleeing shrimp. A great all around fly that has proven success on the shallow flats and backwater marshes.
